Quick Zoo Day

Monday morning we made a last minute decision to go to the zoo.  I really didn't want to, honestly, but Eric said the word "zoo" and Natalie couldn't let it go.  I had to work last night, so the thought of making the drive downtown and back twice in one day...ugh.

And it was hot.

But we had fun.  We got there a little after noon, had a picnic lunch with a peacock, saw plenty of animals, rode the train, shared an ice cream, and sang songs at the top of our lungs for the car ride home.

And the kids got their faces painted!
