4 Month Check Up & Video

Above video highlights Natalie's continuously growing bag of tricks. I was washing dishes one day, and turned around to find her like this! So, I did the only right thing and proceeded to record it. Thank goodness she was strapped in!

Today was her 4-month well check. I am going to reiterate how much I really like her pediatrician, and how glad I am that I changed. Natalie is "perfect" and "one of the cutest babies [the doctor] has seen in weeks." I told her that I bet she told all the babies that! Anyway, Nat now weighs 14 pounds 14 ounces and measures 25.25 inches long, placing her in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. She received 3 shots today, as well as an oral vaccine.

She was so funny at the appointment. The was completely enthralled by the white paper on the exam table. So much so, that she grabbed hold of it with both hands (yep, she is reaching for things now, and grabbing them with great accuracy!), and yanked until it ripped, then wadded it up and tried to jam it in her mouth. My little Mensa baby. This proves, once again, that the best toys aren't really even toys at all--can't wait until she gets into cardboard boxes!

For her efforts, she is spending the afternoon in her jammies, and resting her tired self from all those vaccines.

Doc gave us the green light on rice and oatmeal cereal, and said that we can go for veggies near her 6-months.

  2. Hey! I'm stuck in this contraption! Oh wait, there's something in my mouth. Ah, it's just my tongue. I could simply watch her all day and not accomplish a darned thing. That's why being grandma is so awesome.
