219 pictures taken in order to come up with 20 keepers
Ok, kidding. It's not quite THAT bad. Taking pictures of kids, especially mobile ones, is tricky. I've learned that you never stop looking, never expect them to stay in one place for long, and shoot as many shots as you can as quickly as you can, and you're sure to come up with a few winners.
The boys had been given coon skin caps, and all 3 kids moccasins, with the hope that we could get some pictures of them all together. Ben kept his cap on for about .25 seconds at a time, and so Natalie finally took it over (until I finally took it away from her. Cute on the boys, not so much on her). The weather was just right, and the sun mostly cooperative, so we headed out for a photo shoot. Here are some of my favorites (and yes, I really took 219 pictures...):
Jack wins the day for best overall selection of good shots, and also for keeping his cap on the longest
see? Not so adorable on her, right?
Put three kids on a fallen tree, and voila! Instant entertainment. Love this one.
My hopes of getting a picture of both my children smiling happily was immediately dashed, and really only went downhill from there...
Ben was having none of this fun most of the afternoon.
another winner for Jack
no more tears!
working on Uncle Ronnie's corn
Suffice it to say, Ben did not like the corn.
until he learned that he could eat it, that is.
