Summer is for Playing

Quick aside before I get to the point of the post.  Did you read the previous post, where I was detailing how Ben had slept all night?  That actually made two nights in a row for him.  I clearly jinxed his "streak" by talking publicly about it, because he has been screaming at the top of his little lungs for the past hour now, with no real signs of slowing down.  Sigh.

Alright, so last week we hosted a play date.  It was a beautiful day.  The sun was out. There was a nice (strong) breeze, enough to keep the adults cool and comfortable while the kids wore themselves out running around the yard and in the pool.  We were bummed a few friends couldn't make it, but had a great group that included 4 moms and 5 kids!  And when they're all under age 3, that's enough of a handful!  Since I don't have permission to post pics of all the kids here, you're stuck seeing the same 3 you always see...

somebody spotted the sprinkler...

Jack manning the pirate wheel

you'd have thought those wet suits might have slowed them down on the slide...
not so!  they were zipping off the end, and loving it!

he's so generous with the blown kisses...just practicing up for later when he met his new girlfriend

Ben's still too small for the swingset, so he tended to Natalie's Minnie Mouse

that's one way to get from pool to pool...
