High Flyin'

You know what you do on the windiest day of spring?  You dig kites out of the shed and send them skyward.  Flying a kite is harder than it looks.  And the wind was almost a little too strong.  At one point Ben got swept along a little, which was kind of funny, but I'm sure terrifying for him.

the apron, still going strong

I felt that this activity warranted loud singing of Mary Poppins' classics.  The kids were not amused.  Looking forward to even warmer temperatures in the next few days!

Zoo Crew

Three adults.  The number required to safely supervise a zoo trip with five kids all ages 4 and under.  One to keep up with the faster kids (Natalie and Jack), one to maintain the stragglers (Ben), and one to push along the babies (Anna and Addison) and gear in the stroller.  Ok, so maybe it wasn't that formal of a set up, but it was surely an adventure.  Our first zoo trip of 2015, and what better way to spend it than with all of our favorite cousins, Aunt Beth, and Mimi!  It was Addison's first zoo trip.

the original forecast was for mid-50s, but the lack of sun made it feel a lot chillier

this zoo-trooper is going to be 3 in two weeks!

Phoenix Fun

Last week we had a long over due vacation, and break from the winter chill, and headed to Arizona for a warmer climate and spring training!  We could not have ordered more perfect weather.  The kids did great on the flights out and back and probably adjusted to the time difference better than we did.  In addition to cheering on the Brewers, we did lots of swimming, playing outside, and enjoying family time.

of course we ha the best company

tired of the game, the kids and I walked around the ball park and found an inflatable tee ball
Natalie held her place in line.  The only girl among 10 year old boys.
