Summer Fun

I don't think I need to tell you how hot it suddenly got.  We were enjoying the cooler temperatures, but the past couple of days the hot weather plus humidity has been a rough combo.  We could cope by spending the day in the air conditioning, but we are outside girls.  One afternoon, we went to the pool.  Then, we decided to improvise at our own house...

When I say that Natalie's attention span for most activities is approximately 4.2 seconds, it really isn't 

that much of an exaggeration.  We played with the water set up for at least 2 hours, then she wanted to play again after dinner.  We played again tonight for over an hour.  

Can you can-can?

Watering can, that is.  My number one helper has a new favorite chore: watering flowers.  She demonstrates below:

Juilliard, here we come!

I'm quite certain that every parent thinks they have the most beautiful, witty, talented kid on the planet.  Am I wrong here?  Here's some pretty solid evidence that our's is at least in the running:

All I'm saying is that you shouldn't be surprised if you see this in a "where the stars got their start" package on a Barbara Walters special in the year 2032.  (How on earth old would that make Barbara Walters?!)

It's a......

....BOY!

That's right.  We ended up deciding to find out the gender of the baby, and, much to our surprise, we learned we are having a boy.  He's right on schedule for his October 19th due date.  Everything else pointed to a perfectly healthy baby.  Of course we are thrilled.  Though, admittedly, I had a brief moment of, "a boy??  What do I do with one of those?"

You'll have to wait to find out the name though.  We're keeping a lid on that one until our guy's arrival!

First boy outfit

Natalie decided to make herself cozy in the bed one morning (while I was trying to make it).

She grabbed my old computer, which doesn't turn on, and pretended to do some work in her PJs.
